Fall Garden Planning Spreadsheet

How much and when to plant? The spreadsheet below can help you to answer those questions. It is based on information about the number of plants we need to satisfy the dietary needs for each person. You could simply change the number of people in the household and read the corresponding garden area required and when to begin those plants (most of the plants are shown as transplants). Or you can edit in detail. Of course it is just a reference, the needs of the people in your household will vary. But this can give you a good working basis to begin your garden plan.

You can edit the sheet based on the number of people in your household, their appetites and dietary preferences. You can also edit the sheet to change the plant spacing to reflect your preferences and experience (note that the Area/Plant is based on having an aisle that is equal to the plant spacing). You can also remove some plants altogether.
